2006 Milestones
- January - Opens first European office in Brussels to serve international customers
- January through July – Language Weaver releases 17 new language modules including its first non-English based language pair – French to/from German. The company also adds several resellers to address new markets
- April – Version 4.1 of automated translation software released
- July - Language Weaver integrates Stellent to expand translation to hundreds of file formats
- August - Language Weaver expands into education market with sale of software to Educational Testing Services
- October - Language Weaver shines at NIST competition
- November - ITP Europe experiences 30% time savings with Language Weaver software
- December - Verion 4.2 of automated translation software released
2005 Milestones
- February – Announced major upgrade to software, version 3.0, announced; translation speed increased 5-10 times over previous versions, quality continues to improve
- March - August – Continued to grow staff, signed several reseller agreements with government systems integrators. Feature and inclusion articles continued to appear on the company in major business and trade media, including The Wall Street Journal, Red Herring, BusinessWeekOnline, Slashdot, Salon.com, Chicago Tribune online, MultiLingual Computing, ClientSideNews and others
- June – Added enterprise level scalability to SMTS v3.1 and continued to improve accuracy of translations
- September – Chosen as one of Federal Computer Week’s Top 10 Companies to Watch listing
- September – Won Rising Star award In Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 for Los Angeles metro area
- October – Awarded as one of top 25 Rising Stars in all of North America by Deloitte in its Fast 500 in Technology for 2005
- October – Introduced Customizer tool that allows enterprises and government organizations to fine-tune their own domain specific translation modules
- November – Released its Persian translation system
2004 Milestones
- February - Released its Chinese translation system
- April - Honored as "Start-up Company of the Year" at LARTA Institutes Los Angeles Venture Forum by more than 500 business investors
- July - Released upgrade to its software, Version 2.2, to enhance web browser applicability and increase user-friendliness
- September - Awarded Advanced Technology Program Award from NIST agency of the US Dept. of Commerce
- October – Received its 2nd strategic investment from In-Q-Tel and also raises Series B funding
- November – Version 2.4 of automated translation software released
- December – Chosen by Red HerringLanguage Weaver as one of its top 100 Innovators of 2004
2003 Milestones
- 2003 – Delivered first major software products to US Government and commercial customers, translating both Hindi and Somali into English. Spanish and French modules soon followed.
- October – Landed investment money and contract from In-Q-Tel, venture capital arm of the CIA
- December – Announced Arabic/English language module availability
2002 Milestones
- January – Began R & D for first products
- July – Secured U.S. Government development contracts focused on productization of the core intellectual property: statistical language translation technology
